France Bans Access to Popular Hentai Outlet Nhentai

French government has restricted access to popular hentai outlet Nhentai,the reason of ban was that on the site the doujins and image galleries contain "child porn".

The news first came out on 19 NOV 2020 when citizens post on social media that they are unable to access or open the site.

One of, if not the first, alerts to this development was sounded by Reddit user /u/Kodoxd, who informed their fellow subscribers to the /r/nhentai subreddit that “Nhentai is now down in France. Guess I need to buy a VPN.”

Site fans are very angry on this decision taken by french goverment.

According to french goverment it was an act which was being done in order to “protect the dignity of the victims of abuse seen in the images” and “protect the internet users and especially the very young, who did not want to find these shocking images.”
